Ranidel De Ocampo is one of the rare big men in the league who can shoot triples and is considered to have great footwork. With that, de Ocampo has all the traits to become a legitimate star in the league.

The 6-6 forward possesses defensive skills and a deft touch from the perimeter. His 37.7 percent clip beyond the arc was seventh best among local players last season.

After a so-so performance in his first year, the De Ocampo created an impact in the 2005 and 2006 seasons by improving his rookie numbers 5.8 points per game to 13.3 in his sophomore year in 37 of 51 games played. He also registered 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in that year. In the last Fiesta Conference, Ranidel was loaned to the RP-San Miguel National Team that competed in the FIBA-Asia Olympic Qualifying event in Tokushima, Japan.
